On June 14, 2011, when I had 4 under 4 in my house (my triplets were a couple of months away from turning four and my daughter was just about 5 months old), I opened as Faces You Love Photography. I figured I’d do a few photo sessions a month and it would be a fun way to get out of the house and contribute a little to the family funds.
15 years later and countless tweaks, pivots, and tears shed I’ve seen this business morph into things I couldn’t have dreamed all those years ago! Here I am, now going by Helen Ransom Photography, doing tons of headshot and branding sessions around Kansas City (something I never would have thought I would be interested in, let alone actually love doing), still snuggling the tiniest of babies and laughing at cake smash antics, meeting and photographing high school seniors from Lawrence to Liberty to Lee’s Summit, and photographing families in studios or washed in beautiful golden hour light in a Kansas City area field. What a beautiful, hard, fun, exhillerating, gratifying, exhausting ride it has been!

Up to $2,000 to put towards either a Custom or Premium session.
Custom Sessions are for individuals or groups of up to 8, and are held in one location (studio or on location). If you choose this, your gift will cover the session booking and you’ll have $1,500 in image credit to spend.
Premium Sessions are for individuals or larger groups of people (think extended family!) and may be held in multiple locations. If you choose this, your gift will cover most of the session booking ($1,690 would be your balance due still).
Terms: You’ll have to do your session by the end of 2026, but there’s still plenty of year left! You also may not combine this with any other promos or offers. Winner also agrees to allow behind the scenes content to be captured throughout the process, and final images to be utilize in marketing content (both online and in print).
Already have a session on the books (because you’re awesome like that)? Go ahead and still enter to win, and should your name be picked, you’ll have the option to either have your previous booking refunded OR just turn it into more image credit to spend!
