I’ve got to say, I think I have some of the coolest clients in Kansas City! Allow me to introduce you to not one, but two awesome couples I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know this last year…
Try to stay with me here… I met the couple on the right first, when they had their identical twin girls last October. I did their newborn pictures, and I remember them mentioning during the session that their best friends were also expecting twins soon. I didn’t think much of it (beyond “What?! That’s awesome!”), until a few months later when the couple on the left contacted me about doing 6, 9, 12 month sessions with their twins!
In the last year, if you’ve noticed a lot of twin action on my Facebook page every few months, those four babies are why! Who’d of thought that best friends would both have twins, 5 weeks apart?!
This summer, they tossed out the idea of doing a cake smash session with all 4 babies! I’m always up for a good chaotic time, so didn’t hesitate to say “yes”! We all knew the session would be epic, we just didn’t know if it would be epically awesome or epically bad…
Yeah…
Ended up falling into the epically bad column!
While all 4 babies had done just fine with the cake at their 1st birthday parties, the 3 girls clearly wanted nothing to do with the messy stuff while at my studio! While simultaneously laughing and trying to comfort the criers, we noticed the sole male of the group didn’t have a problem with the cake at all! Of course, this just cracked us all up even more…
At least 25% of the kids in the studio that day had a good time, am I right? It was definitely an entertaining way to start a Saturday, and fun memories were made! Can’t you just see these parents in 15 years, recounting the amazing time they tried to do a cake smash session with four 1 year olds, and only one of the kids enjoyed themselves?
