As late January approached, so did a maternity session I had on my calendar. In my email about the upcoming maternity mini session date we had set, I tossed out an idea…
what if we wait a few more weeks and see if it snows?
She was game for waiting a bit longer, and we both crossed our fingers that Kansas City would finally see some of that elusive white stuff!
On Sunday, February 4th I looked out my studio window and couldn’t believe how hard it was snowing! When I had arrived just 30 minutes earlier to prep for a Gallery Reveal, it was just flurries, exactly as I had heard it would be, on the news the night before.
Some quick emails and phone calls back and forth, and my snowy maternity session dreams were about to come true! Behold, just some of the beauty captured in approximately 5 minutes (no, really!) in a Kansas City snow storm!

What do you think? Will KC get lucky a second time this winter, so that I can have some more photo fun in the snow? Here’s hoping!
{And if you’re hoping to have a similar maternity session, get in touch with me now to discuss! Don’t wait until it’s actually snowing – it would likely be too late by then.}
